Work

Goals and Initiatives

The WSGA works towards creating an impact for students. Each year, we prioritize different goals and initiatives based on the needs of our students. From transportation accessibility to student voter registration, we work on the many challenges that our students face on their campuses. Through intercollegiate collaboration, our delegates work tirelessly to share resources and knowledge to ensure all students have a voice.

Some examples of our work include:

  • Voter Registration

  • The Census

  • Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce Career Fair

  • Transportation Collaboration (Uber partnership with colleges, such as Assumption)

  • Community Engagement (United Way Central Massachusetts, Working 4 Worcester)

Ongoing Initiatives

Survey

The student perception survey allows us to learn more about current students' behaviors and the challenges they face. This survey, mixed with qualitative and quantitive questions, provides deeper data and insights so that we can effectively prioritize our goals and objectives each year.

You can find our past surveys here:

Working for Worcester

Since establishing a partnership in 2014, Working for Worcester (W4W) and the WSGA have been crucial collaborators. In the past, they have hosted the Mr. Worcester Pageant together. Additionally, WSGA has always hosted a team for W4W's annual Build Day in the spring. Join our WSGA team at W4W's next Build Day!

Annual Retreat

Each year, we host an annual retreat at a different campus. This is an opportunity for students to connect with other student leaders and to grow their knowledge of Worcester. We host workshops on leadership development, civic engagement, and much more. Join us for our next retreat!
